I was hoping the coconut oil or perhaps increasing some vitamin would help. Please let us know if those vitamins help.

If anyone has found any products in particular that are better than others for crape-like skin. I didn't have this crapy skin when I was younger and haven't found a product yet that makes much difference in it. My arms and legs always look like they need to be lotioned. I read somewhere on this board where DMAE added to your face cream is suppose to help with not having saggy skin. So naturally I put the stuff in everything.
I've also heard where if you take Cod Liver Oil you won't have wrinkles. A little late for not having them, but I take it now. Maybe there won't be as many with time. It's also good for lots of other stuff.
Talking about fingernails. Mine have gotten really brittle.

Default Exercise tip

Just came across this exercise suggested for seniors, to build muscle
strength in the arms and shoulders. It seems so easy, so I thought I'd
pass it on to some of my friends here:

The article suggested doing it three days a week. Begin by standing on
a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With
a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your
sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute,
then relax. Each day, you'll find that you can hold this position for
just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks. Then 50-lb
potato sacks. Eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato
sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.

(I'm at this level.)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.

I've heard that Biotin works great for nails and hair....but I haven't tried it yet and want to. My nails suck!!

Your skin in your phtots does not show its being crape like.....you look good to me but I'm sure it feels that way to you. I use a scrub brush in the shower and then cream, cream, cream and more cream........ugh, I hate getting old!! I have to say that since I eat this way, my skin is glowing..that is where its not sagging!!

Default Not over 50 but just turned 50

I had lost 35 pounds last year low carbing. I have since put on about 20 pounds. I'm here to join you in losing again. Yes, I believe this forum will help keep me focused and motivated. I am also a wife of over 30 years, three children 30, 27, 24 and three grand children 7, 5, and 3. Looking forward to losing BIG with you. I do remember using this forum often during the time I lost the 35 pounds. The weight came off rather quickly this time last year.

Welcome back, Sally. I know I haven't been posting here like I should. Hopefully we can get it more active as we older ones do have problems that are particular to older ones.

Default Happy Spring Holiday!!

No matter what you celebrate, happy spring- not that we have spring weather- c-c-o-o-old, will barely be above freezing mark.

Be mindful of those treats- a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips!!!

Glad to hear someone has spring weather to enjoy!! Could be worse, some folks have snow on the ground.

Well, have fun hiding eggs, or whatever you do for tradition. I'm making a prime rib and roast pork. I wanted to make it with blueberry and hazelnuts a la Buca di Beppo, but I waited til the last minute to do shopping, and came home without fresh blueberries.

Have fun!!
