Default Fried "Red Potatoes & Onions"!

Okay first of all, it's not Red Potatoes and Onions.

It's Turnips and Radishes.

Slice 2 Turnips and 4 Radishes.

Season them just like you would season potatoes.

I used the following spices:
Salt
Black Pepper
Garlic
Chef Paul Prudhomme's Redfish Blackening seasoning (not the regular blackening seasoning) - if it doesn't say REDFISH on it - it's not the one that restaurants call "Cajun Magic" - BAM!
dried chopped chives
dried parsley

Everything but the Chef Paul's I buy at Sam's Club. Their spices are really great...especially the Black pepper- it has a great "bite" to it.(The Brand is "Tone's", I just wnet and looked. )

Now, You want to fry these really well.
I think the next time I fix them I'm going to try boiling them, prior to frying, so that they are already cooked all of the way...that should allow for faster frying....just to make them crunch and get the oil in there. (Hey - this is Low carb, not low FAT!)

Now, I'm not a fan of Turnips OR Radishes. In fact I HATE them, but fried together, and then hit will all of these spices - they taste like Fried portatoes to me.

Or you can jut do the Turnips, and they are like Potatoes.

Try them with Salt & Pepper first, and if you don't like that - add a little Chives, Parsley, and Garlic.
(The parsley helps cut down on the dragon's breath you will have after eating the garlic.)

Love fried potatoes! Gotta try this! I have never tried a turnip before. Unbelievable huh? Hope they taste a little like potatoes at least

I have had the turnips fried before with onions but have not thought of radishes. I will have totry that. I put a little bacon grease in them also.
