Both Dh & I have been lc'ing since march 22 2003.

My Dh has Horrible stomach cramps in the morning before he goes to the bathroom for his BM. I have no problem, I don't even have gas or heartburn anymore since lc'ing!

He first thought that is was wine or hot peppers but he's cut those out and still he has cramps. I don't thinbk he drinks enough water, but even on those day when I forget to drink water I don't have cramps. I don't think he eats enough veggies. He also takes metamucil at night before bed.

Does anyone else have very painfull cramps?

Is the pain just in the AM? My hubby had some pains, in his lower left hand side before BM (all of em) and he had diverticulitis. Evidently it is becoming a common ailment among men starting in there late 40's.

BTW: Nice to meet someone who shared my birthday!

Thanks for the info. I'll have him book an appointment with the doctor and have it checked out.

I would think that Metamucil + not drinking enough water would = CRAMPS!

That fiber really expands and without enough water gets brick like (sorry for the visual!). Ouch!

Is he eating sugar free chocolate-Malitol gives many people cramps.

No Malitol

but not enough water & metamucil might be it too.
