protein loss, phasing in and out of ketosis
hey =) I've been on maintenance for quite a while now, have been strict with my diet, but I've been curious about doing something that I havent seen talked about ?
is there any medical reasons why I shouldnt alternate between low carb, and low fat ? for example, to eat strict lowcarb/highprotein for 4-5 days a week, and lowfat/highcarbo/highprotein for the other 2-3 days ?
I fully understand that low carb is probably healthier, for blood sugar reasons, and feeling generally healthy, but I want to know if there are any real reasons why it shouldnt be done ?
also, linked to this, I have ready that in the induction phase (entering ketosis), there is some protein loss ... does this happen everytime you enter ketosis? I do weight-training, and I eat a 'lot' of protein; anything that might be eating at my muscle protein which I work hard to build, certainly I want to avoid =)
