Default Belly fat

Does anybody know of any way to get the belly fat off? My first four pound weight loss seems to be in my already skinny arms, legs and butt. At this rate, all I'll be is one big tummy. Im tired of people asking me when my baby is due!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, for starters abs are made in the kitchen. That is what you will hear, and it is true. Once the diet is right, and the bodyfat goes down beautiful abs are below the fat.

Here is a site that has the 10 best exercises for the abs.
http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises.htm

Exercise along with good eating habits are the best way to eliminate the stomach. If you are not exercising, I suggest that you do. It took me over a year to get that in my head, and once I began I have not stopped. And the results are amazing!
Walking is great for overall body too. A mile a day is fantastic for this.

Good Luck to You

Hi Leela

Excess belly fat is usually an indicator of insulin resistance. Over time lowering your insulin release by way of consistently eating low GI foods and a healthy balanced plan you can heal this condition and your body will learn to burn it's own fat for fuel rather than storing fat.

There's no quick fix for weight issues as most people who use this forum would know. It probably took years of sugar/carb abuse to get your belly so don't expect a quick fix and be easy on yourself because you are only 10% of the way. Excercise and good eating habbits are the only thing you can do really

Good luck

Keep up your good eating habits and it will right itself. I'm an "apple" too and my stomach was the last thing to start going down. My sister had the same problem with her hips. It was very discouraging, but overtime our bodies healed themselves and started to let go of the stubborn spots. I agree with the rest. It will take some time for your body to adjust and heal.

Exactly. When I stopped trying and just shot for healthy it all came together. The last of the stubborn hip fat is melting away without me doing anything special for it. I am workingout to strengthen those areas and tone the muscle I can now see!!

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. I've heard doing some sort of weight training with focus on the larger muscles like the glutes, hamstrings, quads will help reduce abdominal fat. The idea being, that is where the most muscle can be built. Thus a greater affect on turning around one's metabolism and insulin resistence.

Hi, I' m new to Schwarzbein and very pleased with the yummy food I'm eating and fixing for my family.
I have a walking partner and we both use pedometers. Today, after dinner, I had logged in 14,000 steps, or 4.4 miles, and supposedly burned 960 calories. The goal is to get to 10,000 steps a day. I found it highly motivating, and it helps me with energy.

Actually, I don't know how to change my "stats" section. Can someone explain how to edit that?
