Default Loose skin on my legs

I joined 24 hour almost a month ago after years of couch-potatoing. I've lost about 50 lbs without exercise because of knee problem. I do bike and treadmill with hill intervals and 5% incline on treadmill.

My legs are skinny and getting muscular on the back and front but the loose skin problem exists on inner and outer thigh. I'd like to fill those areas in with some muscle. I worked with heavy weights one day and that was a big mistake on my knee.

Are there any exercises that target inner and outer thigh. I'm willing to try individual weight machines with low weights and see which one might have caused knee problems.

I just started doing deep squats with toes pointed outward in hopes that will help.

I've had a couple of knee injuries; my MRI just shows a bunch scar tissue and minor degeneration. Generally the more I do the better my knee gets.

Thanks in advance,
Nancy

I do bands hip abduction and adduction motions.

I always found these type of machines to work the best
