Default Ketosis Rollercoaster

Just recently i visited some freinds in arizona, They are also on atkins, I ate meals with them and they all turned out to be legit and lowcarb. But when i returned home and Tested my keto levels using a keto strip i barely have a trace. Now before visiting i was always in the moderate to large area. Could that Diffrent way of eating have Knocked me clear out of ketosis for a long period of time? Another thing i have noticed is My breathe REEEEEKS!!! I swear the paint in my house is beginning to Peal. Someone actually told me that if Your breathe really stinks than your ketones are coming out through your breathe instead of urine ( or something along those lines) Its all very comfusing. Should i be worried?

Ketosis is ketosis.....like pregnant is pregnant.

Don't fret about these little strips...

Too dark of a colour usually means you need more water intake!

Nice and light is GREAT!!

Up your water intake

This will help flush the excess ketones through the urine and not through the lungs. Honest!

64 oz of water a day plus 8 oz for every 25 pounds you wish to lose. This does not include tea, coffee, soft drinks....this means pure water. If you drink any caffiene then you need to drink that much more water because the caffiene helps dehydrate you.

Normally ketosis takes 24 to 48 hours to hit after you drop down to 20 carbs a day. So it doesn't normally take long to get back into ketosis after a goof up. Some meals may "seem" like they are low carb until you figure out there was added corn starch, flour or some other sneaky carb hiding out.

Carry on the way you were before you went on your trip You are doing fine.
