Why is baby formula made form crap?

I read the list of ingredients and what exactly does corn starch have to do with baby formula, along with a bunch of other poopoo stuff.

Does anyone know of any truly HEALTHY baby formula?

Please no lectures on breasfeeding, i know its best but i cant do it (medical reasons), and i am fine with that, so i am doing formula research.

Hey I am new here....Congrats on the new one....You sound like such a wonderful mom doing research on formula.....I formula feed my first and enjoyed it,this time I breastfeed.....

I think if I was going to formula feed again in the future I would make my own formula.........Google it and you can find stuff on it......http://www.westonaprice.org/children/recipes.html

Theres a link to this site they are a very protien based website and there is alota of very healthy homeade formula recipes in that link...I just want you to know I am not trying to seeling anything or spam....I was lurking and had to post to this...Now I am off to inturduce myself.....Take Care =)

My vote is for the BOB Revolution, but I'm looking for a jogging stroller. The cool thing about the revolution is that you can get a car seat adapter for when the baby is small and can face you.

A bit expensive but worth it I would say...

Yah i already changed my mind about the buzz. lol - we saw the new Peg perego Skate and hubby went nuts over it, thought it was the best thing since i dont know what. So we are getting that instead.

BOB rev is a great stroller- but big so that was a no go.

Your HUSBAND went nuts over a stroller? That's a good sign!

I'm saving for a Revolution, too! So I'll have my Buzz for town and Revolution for "jogging" (ahem -- my version of jogging, which is very, very slow)

Hi Welcome!

I reviewed some recipes for home made formula and honestly there is just a lot of ingredients on there that are not easily obtainable, so that makes it too much of a hassle with a newborn- especially in my case when i dont have any family around to help- i can not go and seek out a lot of that stuff. I would say it is a great idea for those living near farms and stuff to get fresh milk and so on.

I stalked someone with a lilac stroller yesterday, i think i have become insane with strollers.

Hubby went nuts over it because it has such good suspension and manuvrability, he was comparing it to bugaboo and he does not like bugaboo at all. I am trying to get him involved in baby stuff- we do pick stuff out together and look at toys and clothes. It is just me and him, friends in family in other states so we do everything together, but I do the research and then show him stuff. My hubby is probably very weird in comparision to other guys, the whole time i have known him, he wanted to have kids and considers having children "the meaning of life" , it is a big deal for him to have a baby, moreso than for me b/c i guess i am a woman and i kind do not think of it as much as him.

I got my 1st baby thing this morning!!!!!!!!!!!! He wouldnt let me buy anything for the longest time and a few days ago he finally let me order stuff online- So today our first set of baby bottles came- he thought they were very cute!

i go the set of Sassy Mam girls set- very cute!

Side question: do you guys know about how long a baby can sleep in a portable crib? Not one of those travel playpen cribs- but an actual 3 level wooden crib just portable size?

Can you leave a baby in there for a year?

This is the only thing I could find, but you should probably check the weight/age limits in the product information.
