Some spice blends and sauces can have a surprising amount of sugar.

Sodium could cause weight gain. Did you eat a lot of salty foods?

Don't use anything like sauces only powdered spices and even then no more than a teaspoon of each.

Yeah I've been using quite a lot of salt generally. Eaten plenty of bacon which is quite salty

So it could be water retention which will dissipate over the next day or so.

A teaspoon of most pure spices has from 1 to 2 net carbs according to Low Carb Linda's chart
http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/spice_chart.html
but sometimes spices have other stuff added to bulk them up, so check labels for this.

I'm so glad I'm not in your shoes. That's a bit discouraging. I'm starting to wonder about your scale. It floats around for seemingly no reason. Maybe it's right and I just don't get it but if I'd have to bet, I'd bet that your scale is flaky.

Here is a link to a educated blogger with about your fat/lean ratio. Note how long it took her to get results. http://www.diagnosisdiet.com/ketoge...months-2-and-3/ http://www.diagnosisdiet.com/ketosis-month-4/ I suspect leaner people just take longer.

I'm sure you've heard this before but check everything you're eating. Especially sauces, processed meat and the like. Personally I found eliminating citric acid from my diet made a difference. It's things like that which may be slowing things down. That and the fact that you're 30 lbs from your goal.

ETA - How's your sleeping pattern? Nice and regular? I've had to push myself to my sleep limits these past few weeks and it's stalled my weight loss. I'm taking a day off to take a nap today.

Hi Keith ME TOO! In fact, this aft, I had my cup of freshly brewed medium roast and my little ramekin of whipped cream.

I don;t like them together.

Hope you are having a FANTASTIC DAY!!!

Interesting that you mention ground beef. After the umpteenth time looking at a paper on insulin vs blood glucose, I thought eating more hamburger might be good. I am and something's working now. Maybe it is the hamburger........
