Cool Hi, Newbie here

Hi, I am new to Atkins and have been doing it now for 2 weeks. I lost 5.5 pounds and feeling very positive! I have started developing red spots that itch on my arm. i can't figure out what they are or where they came from. Any ideas? Do you think they have anything to do with my new way of eating?

Steph111,

Congrats on your loss!

About the rash, nothing like that has happened to me. But, now that you have changed your eating habits, have you by any chance started eating something that you didn't before? Maybe you are allergic to something new you are eating.

Just a thought.

Talk to you again.

Welcome!

Maybe it is leftover toxins from the bad carbs you used to eat. I find that my skin was breaking out for about 3 weeks at the beginning of Atkins and then it got better and I have no problems.

I have cut down all the cheese I have been eating also since I notice I have been breaking out into a rash. Now, cheese is a once in a while item.
