Default Run, fat girl! Run!

Before I got pregnant with my twins, I was jogging for 20 mins a day. I loved the feeling, and I'd really like to build back up to that again. I was 25lbs lighter than I am now, and it took me about a month to work up to it.

Im using a treadmill right now, since its becoming summer and can get in the 90°'s +, and the gym has air conditioning. Its open Monday - Saturday.

I plan to go every day, starting with speed walking (at a pace of 20 minute miles, speed 3.0 on the machine, with an incline of 2) for 30 minutes each day. Each week I will increase the speed 0.1 until Im jogging (this happens about speed 3.5). I will then increase the incline by 1 each week until Im at the top level (9)

Hopefully this will find my weight dropping and my indurance levels rising, so I can jog for 30 mins instead of 20..

So.. here goes nothing..

= I did it! = FAIL!

Week 4/5 - 4/10

Week 4/12 - 4/17

Week 5/2 - 5/7

Hey.. Best of luck to you on that.. I too run regulary on the treadmill.. I do mostly intervals for cardio and then inclines for muscle tone. It def makes you feel so much better and helps keep you motivated to stay on your diet. Too bad I broke my toe and will have to be off for a while but I am eager to get back on... Take Care

Good luck! I'm planning to start jogging too (in about a month).

P.S. LOVE your gym log title! One of my favourite movies is 'Run, fatboy, Run!'
