Default Yourself!Fitness Software for XBox/PS2/PC

Anyone tried this? I'm quite interested in it, but go figure, I only have a Gamecube and a machine running linux. :-P I might try running it through wine, an emulator-type program. I use it to run FitdayPC.

Here's a link to their site.

I saw the ad too! I was really excited about it and sent my husband to the store immediately to find it. However, I don't think it's out yet. I saw something about it coming out in January or February in Nordstrom's but the video stores don't have it as far as I can tell. If anyone finds it, let me know!

Target.com has it and I've seen it at EB Games in the mall as well.

HTH!

I saw a segment about it on AM Northwest (local Portland Oregon talk show). It's only available for Xbox and PC, but they showed some stay at home moms working out to it and they looked like they were really sweating. I might get it for my PC since it's $10 cheaper than the Xbox and since I don't have an Xbox.
I hope they come out with the PS2 version soon.

I just read on the website that the PS2 version comes out in February.

I haven't tried this software but (this is going to sound so strange I know) I bought DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for PS2 a few months back and it's great! It's a lot of fun and it has a "workout mode" that tracks your progress. In the game, "Light Mode" is meant to be about the same level as beginner aerobics. It's great cardio either way and a couple hours can pass by without you even noticing. You're just too busy trying to get combos.

Thumbs up I have the "game" and enjoy it

I do "Mia" 5 days a week for a 1/2 hour. It is basically your own personal aerobics instructor. You do a fitness evaluation to see where you are at and then Mia picks out a focus area and a workout plan for you. I had never done aerobics before and it can get tough. Lots of excersises and you can focus on different areas of your body. Been through 20 workouts so far and it is never the same. I only do the weightloss workout but you can focus on other areas as well. You tell her what equipment you have from a ball, handweights, a step, and a heartmonitor. If you don't have the stuff she just changes the workout for you. I have already bought hand weights and think am going to go and get a step. You can increase or decrease the intensity at anytime and you "earn" different music and environments to work out in. It is kind of scarey sometimes because I think she can actually see me when I start to slack and she will have an appropriate comment.

A friend's daughter recommended this to me. She swears by it. I'll be picking up the PS2 version once it hits in February. Until then, my DDR is still a great workout. Would be nice to have this to mix things up a bit though.

My 8 year old loves Dance Revolution (Xbox)...I *think* that's the name of it. It has a workout mode...it really kicks her little butt. I've been wanting to try it...not in front of the kids, though

I just bought the Yourself!Fitness for xbox today and really liked it! My husband even registered himself and did TWO workouts! He hasn't worked out in YEARS! I'm really excited to see what we get from this!

tell me about it! My son got me hooked on that game...we have Ultramix and Ultramix 2...the 2nd one has more rock type songs on it and I really like that.

Was wondering if I was the only one out there that actually did DDR as a form of exercise

I just watched the sample workouts on their site. Looks really awesome! I can't join a gym here because we're moving as soon as we sell our house -- this could be just what I need to get me through.
