Lightbulb v1 Published summaries October 23rd

Hi folks,

Our first edition of low-carb plans comparison is now published on our web site. I'll be adding a quick link shortly.

http://www.lowcarb.ca/atkins-diet-a...lans/index.html

Thanks to all of those who participated, your work should help thousends of visitors determine which plans is the best for them.

If you have submitted an entry and it is not yet published, please read the thread "Style/Guidelines" and make sure you edit your entry accordingly.

If the entry was commercial, promotional, or cut and paste from an editorial page, and back-cover or book kacket, please re-write in your own words. This is simply to make the summaries a personal, first-hand experience by someone following the plan, rather than promoting a specific book. That's what makes this project unique, members helping members.

Fantastic, Wa'il.

I have not had time to read all through these summaries, but already I have been learning new things. From a practical point of view, this will help us all here as a reference source, rather in the way that you dip into a dictionary or encyclopaedia for specialist information. For "outsiders", it is a great way to compare our impressions of the various publications, and see which diet or book is most likely to suit someone before they go ahead and buy a copy. In both outcomes, our goals appear to have been nearly met - but I am aware that we are still trying to work on a tabular form of presentation of one-line summary cues. The tone comes across as analytical and descriptive, not in any way critical, so it would seem that the authors would have no reason to take offence: indeed, they may well benefit. All in all, I'd say the results so far are very encouraging. I'm trying not to sound as if I'm blowing my own trumpet here, having been involved, but I do think we have reason to be happy with progress. The links all work well, and everything loads quickly. Looks good.

Andy.
