Default I need suggestions

I need some advice. At my job, I sit a lot. I work at night and I'm usually tired around that time because I have my kids (4 and 9 weeks) during the day, so it's really easy to just be lazy and sit there, but I really would like a good way of burning fat without it being obvious that I am working out. Let me outline my surroundings...I work in a 5 story building...(stairs maybe?), but I mostly need to be in the classroom area. I wear heels because the attire is office type. Oh, and I am the only female in the building. So if anybody has any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. I am open to anything you may come up with. Thanks!

You are burning fat just breathing. If you want to workout during the day try jogging during the lunch hour. 45 minute workout leaves 15 minutes for changing, primping and eating. Running the stairwell of a 5-story building would be a tough workout. You'd be burning carbs, not fat if you're working that hard. But once the workout is done, the body burns fat to replenish the carbs the workout used. If you walked the stairwell, you'd be burning fat if your heart rate isn't too elevated.

A midday workout can be hard to do but it would free up your evenings for the kids.

Thanks! I tried jogging the stairs every hour on the hour last night and it does elevate the heart rate...and keep me awake! I work at night and I try to work out every morning, but my new son doesn't always agree....either he's fussing at me or I'm too tired from being at work all night. I'll have to find a balance. I know how dangerous it is to work out when you're physically/ mentally drained. Especially with weight training. But thanks for your advice....I'm going to try and get my schedule a little more organized!
