Default please help!!

Can anyone out there tell me a really good, low impact exercise to get rid of thigh and butt flab?? I had a surgery a year ago, and am on a 45 pound weight restriction for life, and need something to do to get rid of it!! I also cannot jog. I walk about 3-5 miles 5-6 times a week, do 150 - 200 crunches a night (7) and 50 leg lifts on each side, I also do something called the donkey kick. But, I can't get rid of the thigh flab...aghhhhhh!!!

I can't lift more than 45 pounds, and then only if I can do it with my arms only. My insides are suspended in a fiber hammock. It goes across my ribcage, and it holds up my "lower guts" I was told by my doc if it tears loose, I have to have another surgery to repair it..I can't do that again!!!

WOW - okay, I have NO idea what to suggest, other than bike riding and swimming, but they are cardio and don't do much for flab. I rely on weightlifting for that part.

Have you considered going to see a physiotherapist for suggestions?

pilates and squat lunges have made my butt and thighs start to look amazing....

maybe you could walk on the treadmill on a steep incline... that really targets that area w/out moving too fast.

What about lifting weights for your upper body? That most likely wouldn't be affected by your 45 pound weight limit. It doesn't directly target your butt/thigh area, but if your increase your muscle mass in apny part of your body, it will help to eat up fat everywhere else.
You shouuld be able to work your biceps, triceps, chest, back, shoulders with out really even getting near that 45 pound weight limit. I have found that if I tone my upper body that I do notice fat loss in my lower body, more effectively than wtih running/cardio.
You could also do seated leg exercises, ont he natulilus type machines. There are hamstring curls, quad extensions, leg press, etc.
