Default Can you have abnormal Hb-A1c but not be diabetic?

I've been waiting to get my blood test results back for 3 days. My dr was all over me about my obesity, it was a visit about a foot injury, and sent me to the lab with a slip that said urinalysis but when I got there I gave 6 tubes of blood. I mentioned the supplements I take and he was going to measure my electrolytes saying I could be damaging myself.

I'm in phlebotomy class and we take each others blood so I had the blood sugar meter 10x in a week all my non-fasting levels were 94-98, taken 2-3 hrs after my last meal.

Trying not to worry about what diseases I may have from being fat- or should I say eating carbs. Should I be worried?

Your current numbers look normal, non-diabetic. The Hb-A1c is a 3-month average, so if you were eating a lot of carbs 2-3 months ago, the Hb-A1c could look bad while your current numbers look good. I wouldn't pay any attention to an Hb-A1c reading unless you have been solidly LC with no cheating for >>3 months.
