i have been on it before few a good few months and then my doc took me off it to see if i can have periods on my own wich i have since then every month

i asked her a few months ago if i could go back on as i lost a bit of weight takin it and thought it might help to lose more, her reply was no as she doesnt want me takin it for that cause she didnt think that it made me lose any weight before and cause of my size dont like big people goin on it in general

but i want to take it for at least a month as contraception, knowin her reason for not goin back on it full time does any one know if it will matter takin it for just one month? surely it cant hurt? and if i did take it again does it protect u from getin pregnant from day one that u take it?

usually birth control pills need a few months to change our bodies hormonal system to prevent pregnancies. If you get it for only one month, your body won't be able to make the necessary adjustments in time to properly prevent pregnancy. for short term contraception, condoms are cheapest and easiest.

wel as the doc said no cause of my size, im assumin its due to getin high blood pressure, so surely two months of takin it shouldnt be a prob when i have been on it before for months n months?

what if you ask her for a trial of 3 months with the option that she test your blood pressure regularly and if she has other concerns about your health she could also monitor those?

nope she said no to all that last time i saw her, i def wana take it for a month as the leaflet says ur protected straight away so my only other concerns is the metformin im takin now if it will affect the affectiveness of the pill?

No metformin does not make your pill not work, and as long as you take the pill from the FIRST DAY of your period, you are covered with the contraception.

As for your dr not wanting to put you on the pill again because of blood pressure....what would she prefer....you getting pregnant?!

I would maybe ask her what other alternatives she might have for you - another kind of pill perhaps or an implant....there's got to be other ways to protect yourself and she should advise you.

wel i trust it any way for that one month and dont really wana go doc cause she is part time and is a nightmare to get apt to see her, so will take it over easter holidays when uni is out
