Default Starting a 10 day challenge

Hey folks...

The hubster and I are trying out a 10 day fitness challenge. Basically going from no workout for months other than walking, running around with a toddler and housework etc. to actually hitting the gym or working out at home.

Mostly aiming for toning up, fat loss is a defo goal as well. I realise it takes more than 10 days for changes to really happen but for now, we have 10 days to convince us to keep on going.

Looking for suggestions on;

1 - Workout options? best video suggestions
2 - Can we both follow the same workouts even though we have different fitness and flexibility levels?
3 - Best post workout fuel? Should/shouldn't?

TIA!

I don't eat post-workout. But I do usually have a protein/fat snack before. And I have an electrolyte drink after.

It is possible to do the same workout. Exercises often have modified versions for beginners.

I'd start out with a low impact workout to begin with. It's no fun to kill yourself on the first workouts and be so sore you are in misery. I used Leslie Sansone vids to begin with. Now after working out for 6 months, I'm doing Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred on cardio days and a dumbbell routine on strength training days. YouTube has a million things to offer so that is a good place to search. Hopefully others will have more suggestions for you. Good luck.
