Default Protein Shakes

Hi I am new to this so this is my first post...if I am doing anything wrong please tell me. I have been on my low carb program for 16 days...only lost 5 pounds...I am drinking a couple protein shakes per day that say low carb on them...anyone know which are the true lowest carb protein shakes?

I really don't know which shakes have the fewest carbs, but I do want to let you know that you can't just trust a "low carb" designation on the label. You need to look at the actual nutrition label that lists the number of carb grams and decide from that whether you want to use the product.

okay, the shakes I am using are from a national supplement chain and they say 2 grams of carbs per serving and 20 grams of protein. I am hoping the label is accurate, but I read somewhere that not all labels tell the truth. And since I am losing so slow and only an occasional move into the pink area on a keto strip. I thought maybe this was the culprit.

It might be. Shakes and bars do stall some people. You might try leaving them out for a few days.

On the other hand, you don't have a lot to lose, and people with less to lose tend to lose it more slowly. Unless I'm reading your stats all wrong, you've already lost 25% of what you're trying to get rid of. That's better (by percentage) than most people do in induction. (I believe the general rule of thumb is that most people can expect to lose 10% of their excess during induction.)

So you're actually doing very well.
