I am up 2 lbs this morning.
Not happy about it. It is a very big gain.
But what the heck - There is not much more I can do about this.
Yesterday was a low calorie day for me. I had shrimp (steamed, with homemade shrimp sauce made from WF Sugar-Free Ketchup and horseradish), Tuna & mayo, and some chicken with cheese along with my cup of new Cashew milk and my daily cream. Not even 1200 cals. It seemed like it should have been higher, but shrimps are so low in cals. You can eat a LOT of them and it is still incredibly low!
I had 32 shrimps!!! That was only 204 calories! Today I am having eggs & sausage for lunch and maybe again for dinner. We didn't take out anthing to thaw, so dinner may change. But so far it is in the 1200 range again. So there should be some fat loss going on inside me somewhere????????
My fingers and toes seem pretty thin. My ring size has gone down to a 6, used to be a 7.5.
None of my rings fit, they all fall off!
But like CRICKET always said, fat hides in the most hidden places. Internally and in other strange areas! Maybe fat is melting from the top of my head? Who knows?
HIMI - Slowing down in losses is of course natural the closer you get to goal.
You can start getting nervous about it, or accept it. You can start cutting everything out, but like CRICKET said, this is supposed to be a lifelong and livable diet. Do you really think you can sustain a diet devoid of all things that made it tolerable? No! That will only lead to feelings of deprivation and make the diet a drudgery. Eventually, you will go back to adding those things back. Personally, I have been dieting for almost 2 years now. I remember when the losses started slowing to 3-4 lbs a month. I started cutting everything out, like you are thinking of (but I was still strict induction at that time, and the only things I COULD cut out were sweeteners and cream!) Well it did not make a tad of difference. It only made me angry and deprived. I had to learn to accept my slower rate of loss and plod on. I have had a month or 2 of higher losses since then, but mostly, they have slowed to only a couple lbs. And as you know, lately, nothing. I refuse to start cutting back further now. I figure that I will continue to lose at a snail's pace and that is ok with me. I want to make this diet stressless and livable. If you truly feel one of your foods is affecting your losses, cut it out, if it is extraneous, and see if it makes a bit of difference to you. Maybe it will.
But I think you are having excellent losses, still! And congrats on having a decent loss this past month!!!!
I looked at my chart - On Oct. 1st I was 217 lbs. Today I am 214.8. So I did have a 2.2 loss. It was MORE yesterday, but went up so much today.
BUT, it is less than it was 1 month ago and I am VERY happy for that!!!!!
This weight of mine can go up and down through the month, but as long as it is a LITTLE less by the end, then WOO HOO!
I did not take a photo last month for my before and afters. I really MUST do it this month! Even if there seems to be no difference, I want a pictoral reference to look back on. It is necessary for my mental well-being, if nothing else. And I really need to get a new avatar up there. The one I have is too old! Maybe I can remember to do that today....
It's good to know some of you have tried the Silk products. A long time ago I was using the coconut milk, but cut it out because I thought it was stalling me. It seemed that I lost a bit after I cut it out, but maybe that was coincidence..... The fact is that I was using it as a replacement for my cream. When I cut it out and started adding my cream back, I started losing again. So go figure. Cutting out fat is not productive on this eating plan. I have found that cream is a GOOD thing, and my body has no aversion to dairy of any sort, so why on earth would I want to cut it out? It is one of those few foods that give me great pleasure on this diet.
I am rambling and not getting to the point! Sorry! I wanted to say that I really enjoy drinking my Silk. The calories are low and the single carb is practically negligible. The benefits of all the nutrients is awesome! And I add some WF chocolate syrup to it, too. It is like drinking a glass of chocolate milk, something I always loved.
What a great way to get your daily calcium!
I'm glad I am not alone by drinking this. I am always afraid CRICKET may get out the old high carb noodle and come running after me when I add something new.
CRICKET - Thank you for approving the Silk.
Sorry you do not like it. I never really liked the taste of the Almond, but drank it for the calcium benefit. This new Cashew is SO much better! I actually like it.
----------- Doesn't NYQUIL have sugar in it? I would be afraid to take it! Or do you take the caplets? Just wondering!!! I hope you feel better this morning.
I woke up with an aching body. I swear, every bone feels sore today, especially my right arm. I am an old lady.
CHRISSIE - Sorry you are sick, too!!!!! I changed the chart to the correct line for me, it was still showing yesterday's weight. So all is fine. Congrats on being stable today!
I must get started on the day now, enough rambling for me. You all have a great day and I will stop back later.
