Yes, well, you know what I mean, don't you? I'm talking about the process of elimination! Things aren't moving along to well...

I have tried the Psyllium caps. I just can't bear to take 6 more pills a day. As far as the powder goes, I can't stand to DRINK any more liquid than I already am (whine).

Dr. Bob says magnesium OXIDE is okay. My bottle of Milk of Magnesia says it contains magnesium HYDROXIDE. Anyone know the difference--is there one?

Are there other avenues available to correct this problem? Could you recommend an over the counter laxative? I'm drinking over 64oz a day and eating my salad.

Sooooooo, will ya tell the old girl what works for you? With so few carbs, do we just not have near as much waste passing through our systems?

Sorry to bring this up but I have no where else to turn and I knew you'd understand...

Thanks,
mg

Default fibre

I take fibre daily. Whatever you buy be sure it's sugarfree. I have mine every morning mixed with a little crystal lite or water. I've take fibre for years, long before I started low carbing.

Are you eating your fat? Strange as it sounds fat will help move things along. Also, check out the "Low Carb Tips" section for an article by Doreen on "Intestinal Health" There are some ideas as well as a yoga exercise that is supposed to work wonders.

Also, have you been eating your veggies? 2 cups a day of green veggies that are full of fiber will help keep this problem from happening again if you havent been. Broccoli, spinach, zucchini, cabbage.

Taking extra vitamin C will produce a laxative effect. Since I started taking extra magnesium and extra C, I haven't had any problems in that area.
