Holiday travel
Well, I'm leaving the sunny south tomorrow and going to upstate New York to spend 5 days with my parents and grandmother. Really looking forward to seing them--we didn't get together last year at the holidays because travel was a little scary at that time.
Just wanted to say "See you later" to everyone here. I may not be posting for a few days.
I went to the grocery store today and bought a bunch of low-carb snacks for plane and airport (and parents' house, if need be). I got:
- Beef jerky (slim jims, actually. Haven't had them since I was a kid.) (2 carbs each)
- Roasted salted pumpkin seeds
- Macadamia nuts
- Sunflower seeds
- String cheese (1 carb each)
I made some low-carb cupcakes, w/o frosting, that are ok, and will satisfy me if I want something sweet (3 carbs each)
The purchased items are a little high in salt, but I'll be drinking a ton of water--I always do when I fly.
So... happy holidays one and all, and I'll talk with you in a week or less.
