Default what do you eat after weights workout?

I am canning my cardio due to back and knee pain. Since I plan to continue with weights, I am wondering how to feed my hungry muscles. I usually feel so hungry in the couple days following a 30 min. weight session.

Any suggestions? I ate half an atkins bar yesterday post workout. And sort of went a little nuts on smoked almonds last night (1/2 cup) 1 oz cheese and some salami. I know it was in response to my weight workout.

I ususally have a protein shake right after lifting and then about 1 hour later 1/2 cup of ricotta.
Chicken and tuna are great protein sources and metabolize well.

That atkins bar may have caused some cravings

I have a chocky flavored Freeze shake from Global-Fitness.com with water, 1/2 banana, 1 tbls peanutbutter, 2 tbls Allbran, 4 icecubes.
Stops the hunger after a workout and allows me to stay low carb the rest of the time. Have leaned down nicely and have gained 1 cm on chest and biceps after 2 mths building the lifting routine up to 1 hr 4 days a week.
