I know that all scales are different, but I moved and I no longer have any of the old scales I used. So, I have to start over, hoping that the scales I'm weighing on here in Atlanta are accurate. I went to the doctor yesterday, just to update myself on how my health is. BP is fine, I'm not pregnant, and they took blood for some other tests I'll update those results when I get them. I did weigh in at 312, which means I've gained back 17 of what I lost before the surgery. I've been told there are two camps of people who've had gallbladder surgery - those that find themselves losing weight, and those who gain. I guess I am in the latter. <sigh> Oh well. It's been 2 months since the surgery, and I feel like I'm much my old self, so it's time to get cracking again. I've set myself a goal to get down to 275 by March when Dh and I will hopefully start trying to get pregnant again. I intend to start going to TOPS again starting next week so I'll have a way to figure out my progress. I hope to soon be able to contribute to our numbers here very soon!

I am up a pound this morning, but after Thanksgiving, I feel good about this. When I first started with this WOL, these weight fluctuations really got to me. But I am more patient now as I have learned so much. The holidays are tough so the fact that I am here, working on my WOE, feels like real progress. It is so easy for us to get discouraged and wander away during the holidays. We can do this gang!

807 - .5 = 806.5 (176.5)

This is CRAP. Rar. I've barely lost anything in a month.

Default I did an accounting for the team..

I went back and started at the very first post, wrote down everyone's reported weight loss, then tallied it up to subtract it from our 1000 pounds. We did have at least one reversal that I saw - where people started adding pounds instead of subtracting them. Plus, several people wrote posts saying they had lost weight but it didn't get to the tally for whatever reason. It's up to everyone here if we should accept my tally - I count our team as having lost 253 pounds - putting us at 747 pounds left to lose.

On a more personal note, I haven't been to TOPS yet. I've not been eating as well as I can and I've been feeling kinda sick some nights. I'm trying hard to get back on track and get my butt to that TOPS meeting on Monday. I'll get back there and make my team proud!

Awesome, I'll take your tally. I lost another pound today...

So 747 - musicmama's 1lb = 746

746 - 1 (mine) = 745

Just gotta brag here, I went to a Christmas Party tonight,,,and the food was awesome!! But high carb,,,,never fear, I had greenbeans, tossed salad, cheese, and a few small sausages.I had 2 one inch cubes of cheesecake,,and a small piece of another one,,,but I had not eaten all day due to being very busy preparing for the party. So, in light of the damage I could have done,, I am proud of myself!!! After all, it is the holidays!!
I think what helped was knowing,,there is a banquet Saturday night, another party in a week, not to mention holiday dinners. If I start cheating now, there will be no stopping. So, I was good!!!

Default Congrats on the self-restraint!

Considering the gads of get-togethers that center around food and familiy this time of the year, it's a miracle if you can get through unscathed. It's considered the best of the best things if you can get through the holidays without gaining. It's nearly impossible to come out in January lighter than you were before Halloween.

I did get back my blood tests by the way - my A1C went down to 6.6. Down from 7.1 last time. I'm so happy it's down. And that was during three months of stress, surgery, a move across country, etc. Just imagine what I could get that down to without all that added stuff.

I'm pumped!! Let's kick this into high gear and come out in January losers!
