Default Unusual Vegetables

I like reading food blogs, and really appreciate it when they show how to enjoy an unfamiliar vegetable. So here's a few:

Black radish chips

Jerusalem artichoke (aka sunchoke)

Kohlrabi (aka chou-rave...she always gives the French name of veggies, which makes them so much more sexy...!)

Beets (someone told me you can buy pre-roasted beets at Trader Joe's)

Green almonds (Turkish)

Sprouted-Garbanzo veggie burgers (she recommends you use them as the bun, actually)

I like this blog a lot. Thanks for the tip.

I've never tried kohlrabi OR beets raw but I might now.

Black radish chips sound interesting, too.

I went to the blog and had a look. I like it a lot. While I was looking through it, I found a roast chicken recipe that I made this weekend. It was unbelievably good! I never thought I liked roasted chicken until I tried this recipe. The meat literally fell off the bones and the flavor was amazing. Thanks for the link!

Was that the Chocolate & Zucchini blog? I love her blog. And she has such a great way with words.

Yes, it was the Chocolate and Zucchini blog. I too enjoy her style, both in cooking and in writing. The recipes seem well thought out and I love her cooking philosophy. Too bad I don't have markets near me that sell such fresh food! Thanks for the link to that blog.
