Default Body Fat Calculators--What Gives

I just tried to figure out my body fat percentage with online calculators. I got everywhere from 27% BF to 47%. One site calculated me at 164.75 lbs lean muscle mass and 63.64 body fat weight for 27.9 % body fat at 228 lbs. Other sites list 47% body, What gives?

It all depends on how your fat is distributed. I like this site: http://chuckdickens.home.comcast.ne...CALCULATORS.HTM

I'm female and a very hippy hourglass shape, and never carried fat on my wrists and forearms. The Method 3 calculator is the only one that matched my BF calculated from caliper measurements ~15 yrs ago, so that's the one I stick with. The more information you input, the better the result - I suggest you try Method 2 and Method 3 and pick whichever seems most reasonable to use as you continue tracking.

Thanks for the info. I tried to access the calculators in both Chrome and Firefox and they said that I didn't have the proper Java version. I tried uploading but it didn't work.
