Happy September! One more extremely hot month (if we're lucky) in San Diego. I love fall and winter in San Diego. The sunsets are incredible and it gets nice and cool in the evenings and the days are usually fairly bright. I'm not a big fan of summer, so my favorite half of the year is approaching!

Let me know if you'd like to have a running total here in the first message of the month of your weight loss total so far on PSMF. Include the time it took to, if you wish. This may inspire others who have been excessively stuck like so many of us have been.

Nancy: -13.5 pounds, since 6/1/05 (Currently on Diet Break for 2 weeks)
Cindy: -23 lbs since July 21st. Currently on a 1 week diet break.

Hi Nancy,

I don't know about PSMF, but I sure envy the fall/winter you describe. We have quite a rainy summer here, and the sun is something I miss a lot. I have to do with romantic descriptions like yours.

Hiya Nancy!

I'm hoping we have a similar fall this year. It's been beautiful in northern CA. It's been pretty cool for august, so who knows what September will bring.

I'm leaving Kentucky today, so it will be another airport food day I feel slimmer today though. Probably cause all my pants are huge on me now LOL!

Cindy: -23 lbs since July 21st. Currently on a 1 week diet break.

Diet Break: Day 5

What a huge surprise! I had a major whoosh last night and I'm hovering just .2 of a pound from my low. *dance* And this is after increasing my calories to 1200-1400 for my break.

I'm wondering if perhaps the added carbs are helping my tissues with the thyroid conversion, or perhaps using Ashwagandha is helping with that. My body temperature was an incredible 98.0 degress on rising, after having been a slug like 97.0 or less (until I ovulated).

Yesterday I had:

Breakfast: 3 whole eggs
Lunch: Chili with beans and ground beef
Dinner: Asian Pot roast and 1/2 a large potato (with LF sour cream and butter)
Dessert: 72% Chocolate and hot tea
Insomnia snack: a bit of NF cottage cheese and SF syrup

Hi Y'all I'm back from Kentucky Trying out the accent

I managed to stay in the 270's. 278.4 this am. Not bad considering my meals and the flights. I usually retain a lot more water, so this is a good sign.

I'm doing 1/2 day psmf (breakfast and lunch) the next 2 days. Then back to the real deal.

Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend (well those of us in the US).

For some reason I am not getting the notifications about new posts..no idea why. Anyway, I am still sitting on 155 and dancing around that, so I think I am now maintaining on PSMF so must need a break (starting one this week, on Wednesday)

So that means I have lost about 13 lbs in 2 months.

Val

Diet break is over for now. I may end up with another one before the end of September (most likely 2 or 3).

Weight is back down to 278.0 that's after seeing 280 yesterday. I'm hoping to see VT before next Sunday when I leave for North Carolina.

Hope everyone is doing well today!

Cindy, you are doing well! You have already lost the equivalent of half a person since you began dieting.

I am back at 154.5 so I think that is now my low reading. I start a 2 week break as of today so should be putting heaps of water on, plus am unsure what exercise I will do apart from walking while away for the 6 days in Sydney.

Thanks Val!

Back in psfm VT this week!! 276.4 I'm pretty pleased about that! I think the several day break may have helped. I need to get to 269 to see real VT. 270 was the lowest weight I was able to achieve on Atkins. I maintained at 274 for months when my thyroid was going south. So I'm very pleased to be so close to that number again.

Val - I bet you don't gain as much water as you think. Even with the diet break I only gained 3lbs of water. And that came off very quickly. I wonder if you don't see something similar.

Former Stallers R Us, indeed!!

Thanks Cindy..and congrats..you will be real VT before long. I am needing this break to get my metabolism back up and I am expecting the worst, as it is not just a few days, but 2 weeks.

This morning I had a piece of toast with my eggs, and I will have a sandwich for lunch on the airplane.. so with whatever is served at my friends' for dinner, that should well and truly get me up to 100g min. of carbs! (EEEK)

woohoo!! Another pound down. I'm sitting at 275.4 this am

Toast and Sandwiches Val?? Yep, that will add some carbs for you. I hope you enjoy your trip. Psmf will be here when you get back. Love to hear how the diet break works for you.

That is excellent results, Val. You make it all worthwhile.

Cindy, you're doing marvelous. you have a southern drawl now?

I was craving carbs this evening. Caved into some fresh onion rolls.
Went to the market today, and stocked up on tons of veggies, and protein. I'm ready to get back on program.
Carb/Calorie cravings should be in better control tomorrow.
