Default QuestBar=SpaceSticks

I stopped by a gas station yesterday evening and saw some of these Quest bars people talking about eating. They were sitting in a bin for half price. I got one that was fudgey chocolate or something. No wonder it was priced half, tasted like these things from my childhood:

I hadn't thought about Space Food Sticks for ~40 years, but a couple of weeks ago they appeared on the new HBO show "I'm Dying Up Here" (based on 1970s Comedy Store).

In my early days LCing, I mixed protein powder & peanut butter to make bars with a similar consistency, but I no longer eat PP or PB, but even that didn't remind me of Space Sticks until now. Of course they got a bit greasy when it was hot out. God knows what Space Sticks had in them to weather a wide range of temperatures and remain dry but flexible.
