I've got 89 visits in - and feeling fine!

Also, I've locked in at $29 a month! Yay! Curves monthly fees are going up, after 5-6 years of being the same rate.

I'm all signed up and getting psyched for the Curves 6 week solution. I just know it will be as productive as the last 6 week challenge when I lost 18 lbs! This time, 18 inches would be nice.

I have the new book, the food plan won't work for me at this time - but I'll still be moving and losing!

I have there new book too, and I agree this plan would not be for me either. But I will continue to workout there, as I know it is helping.

I just joined Curves this past Friday with my daughter. Most of my coworkers are members so I felt it was a great atmosphere for us to work out together. It may not be what I need if I want to develop muscles, but it will burn fat, tone us up, and build some strength and endurance. My DD runs X-country and she needs to build up strength and endurance. We are looking forward to the benefits over the winter and spring wet/cold weather.

Hi my name is Connie, we have a "Curves" here in my town and we also have one called "Shapes". I joined Shapes about 3 months ago because my sister was going there and several of my coworkers, there is no contract you have to sign, you just pay by the month and can stop when ever you want. I have lost 16 inches overall so far. I have visited Curves (my daughter in law works at one in Houston), and the set up is almost identical. I love it, I have never stuck with anything as long as this, I go 4 days a week. My kids are both grown, but for those with young ones, it's great that Shapes has a place for the children to go, with toys, tv, videos, etc, and someone to watch them (free of charge) while moms work out. Plus, it's all open, so you can see your child at all times.

We don't have many options here in SW VA. Curves, the local karate school gym, and the high school free weight room. We will have a new rec center opening up, but I think I might just stay with curves because of its convenience to work and home. I like the fact that I can leave work stop at Curves for 30 min and be on my way. Some days it is busy, I wish there were 2 of everything, but it probably wouldn't help because most of the ladies socialize as they go.

Anyone here from Georgetown, TX? I'll be moving to Georgetown in April and I found out there are two Curves locations there - just wondering if anyone can tell me how they are?

I've been going to one here in California for almost two years now!

Default Looking for Curves in Naples, FL

Hi everyone,
My daughter and I joined Curves a year ago but we haven't been real consistant in going. The other problem is my daughter is 14 and can easily be convinced we should skip today and go tomorrow. So, I thought if we found some other members and set some times to be there that would force us to go. We are fine once we get there but it is a struggle to get there.Let me know. Thank you!

I have a similar problem!!!! But we also contend with homework, after school activities (for both of us) and so much more. It is nice to have it available though and I plan to hit it tomorrow!

Yes it is nice because of my daughters age most gyms wouldn't let her use the equipment. I was so surprised when Curves said it was ok. We went this evening and plan on tomorrow too! I just wish she could be more of a stickler when I say I have too much housework to do and tell me No mom we need to do Curves. I am fine once we get there, I feel good after exercising it is just getting myself there. Laziness I guess. Good luck tomorrow!!
