Thank goodness I ordered a copy of my lab report. My trigs are only 73 so I feel a little better.

Total - 257
LDL - 137
HDL - 105
Trigs. - 73

The 94 was my fasting blood sugar. I wonder if the diet soda had any effect on that since I did have a few that day before the blood was taken.

So - I divide my HDL into my trigs. to figure out my risk and my risk is 0.69. Is that right? Also, I saw my VLDL calc. is
15 out of a reference range of 5 - 40. However, I am concerned that my C-Reactive Protein, Cardiac is 4.76 out of a reference range of 0.00 - 3.00. I am guessing this has something to do with my autoimmune disease and the inflammation that is present because of that? It scared me a little because it measures CRP-cardiac. I am going to google to learn more about this but would appreciate any info or links you guys may already have.

Thanks in advance!

Probably not. Most people don't get a rise in BG from diet soda.

Yeah, CRP is worrisome and it is connected to autoimmune disease.

Guess my next appt. is going to be with an internal medicine specialist for sure. I can't figure out if the elevated CRP is something that I should be worried about or if it is just a marker showing that there definitely is inflammation going on while my thyroid gland is attempting suicide.

Yeah, I don't know. I had an autoimmune disease (2 actually) and never got high CRP, I don't know why!
