Default Subway salads

I'm a bit excited because I just found out at the weekend that the Subway sandwich shops also do salad bowls!

Apparently you can get any of the meats, cheeses, olives, vegetables etc that they put on their sandwiches, but in a bowl without bread! And it's only £3, including a drink.

I know where I am going for lunch today!

I'll have to check that site out... particularly for the sauces. Definitely going there for lunch today, so I'll see what they're like in reality...

There is the link for the nutritional information Tracey

http://www.subway.co.uk/assets/pdf/...Values-2012.pdf

Salads are a few pages down the list

Let us know what you think when you have sampled them - there are Subways everywhere here where I live so might make lunchtimes out a bit easier

Right, had a Subway salad today and it was YUM! I had lettuce, salami, pepperoni, ham & grated cheese, with jalapenos and black olives. Didn't quite trust their sauces, without knowing what was in them. But next time I will use my Caesar or Ranch dressings that I know are low carb, and it will be fab!

Highly recommended!

I like these too! I have asked for packets of olive oil and vinegar and then just dressed my salad with those since I didn't have carb counts for the dressings. Hadn't thought to look for a website! Thanks for the tip.

They are very good...I usually eat them plain or with dressing from home...or with just a bit of mayo mixed in. I also have them bulk it up with extra lettuce/spinach and extra chicken and can then make 2-3 meals out of it. Haven't had one in awhile...and now may need to go get one today. They really do taste almost exactly like a sub but without all the guilt.

Good to know you can get low carb fast food. I usually have to resort to a bottle of water and a packet of salted peanuts!! Everywhere you go it's baked tatties and sandwiches!!

Donn4c... try the Subway salads when you can. They are so filling and tasty. And Subways are almost everywhere! Even in the rubbishy area where I work!
