Hi Sara!!
I am not familar with a Keto plan I have had no luck getting into ketosis and had the dipsticks and finally gave up and just stuck with Atkins.

There is tons of support on this site and it has been a big help for me!! I have to been on and off this program but feel this time is different. It is harder to lose as we age but th altgernative is being morbidly obese. I decided that I was tired of it and wanted to be in pretty clothes and enoy the rest of my life healthy!!
Glad you are journalling!!

Thumbs up Thanks Everyone!

Thank you all for supporting me on my journey and providing me with such excellent advice.
Severely limiting the carbs to <20 and reducing protein to <80 while increasing fat intake to 80% of calories did the trick.
The last time I checked my serum ketone level, it was at 0.9. Enough to say that I am in ketosis.

Once I have this routine down, I will add intermittent fasting. I tried it early on, and I was just too hungry. I have read that when you are in a keto adaptive state, IF is much easier, and will increase the weight loss.

Thanks again, especially Ken and Katie.

Welcome! Im in Kingston Ontario but lived in Peel Region for 13 years. :-) Consider supplementing with magnesium to get things moving. I take 500 mg before bed and it really helps. Also drink lots of water to help flush out the pipes so to speak. Good luck on your journey!!

I am curious about what are you eating. Do you actually test your urine frequently too?
