Wow, what a great thread. I too aim to lose about 100 pounds. I started at 230, and would like to be somewhere between 120 and 135 at the end. I've given myself until my birthday in September 2015. I began losing in the beginning of June 2014, now it has been one month and a half, I've lost 23 pounds.

I'm also in need of over 100'bs to lose......I started at 267 and am now 219. .....I would like to weigh135, but realistically my goal is 150. It seems like a long way off.........but I'm hanging in there. Love this board.

I have increased my fat intake using coconut oil in coffee and frying my meats in coconut oil. I have lost a few more pounds but have definitely lost some bulk on my waist.

Yet, I always feel a little extra surge of commradery (sp? sorry and I'm an English teacher! shame....) when I see posts from those with a lot to lose.

So, if you don't mind, I'd love to hear from some 100 + wanna be losers out there. I started this about 6 weeks ago and I'm down 23 pounds. I feel remarkable and I know this is the way to live for me! I haven't seen a 2 as the first number in my weight since before I got pregnant almost 2 years ago. I'm at 297 now and feeling on a role!

Thanks for everyone's support, advice and information.

hi it's nice to meet everyone..

The last time I seen 199 flash on my scale was when I found out I was pregnant with my FIRST son...that was some 23 years ago. I had always been 'overweight'...but I still 'carried' myself well..
Back then, I told myself, just as soon as I delivered, I would get back down below 200...of course, 23 years later, I still haven't been able to accomplish that goal....at least not for any decent amount of time.

There was a time, some 10 or so years ago, I did manage to get down to 179 lbs...but it was very short lived and within just a few MONTHS, I was right back up to where I am now.

These past 10 years or so my weight has remained steady at around 265-275 lbs. With the amount of crap I've been eating..it's a wonder I'm not heavier than I am.

I started my low-carb journey on June 1st, 2015..just 23 days ago.
I feel GREAT! The best I've felt in years...and that's me being completely honest.
I've already lost 10lbs..and a few inches too!

I'll be ecstatic when I can see that 199 number again..but for right now, I'm simply celebrating every lb and every inch that comes off as my plan is to keep whatever does come off...off for GOOD!

It's nice to meet you all...
