Default Hoe much Omega-3?

After reading what Neandethin (4th ed.) has to say about Omega-3, I realize now that even though I've cut out grains, I'm probably still getting to much Omega-6.
I didn't want a diet where I'd be cooking seperately. It's tough enough to get dinner on the table for 6 people without cooking a sperate entree. So I'm stuck on a diet of commercial beef, chicken, fish, and eggs. How many grams of Omega-3 should I take to supplement?

The choice on how much to supplement is yours. There are no hard and fast guidelines. I supplement with 1.2 grams of omega-3s.

As I no longer use vegetable oil (except for some olive oil, which really is a fruit oil) in cooking, my omega-6 intake is much lower than it was.

Thumbs up

Wyv, are you saying that eating salmon twice a month will compensate for the commercial meats and poultry?

I started greasing my egg pan with olive oil. I too have cut out vegetable oil. 1.2 grams in the morning, midday or evening?

I get a craving for it about that often. I will occasionally take a spoonful of Carlson's cod liver oil or fish oil, which seems to help alleviate sashimi cravings that aren't in the budget, which is why I think the cravings come from a need for omega 3.
