Default Quinoa?

Hi

I have recently been trying to eat only natural foods and avoiding grains, sugar etc.

I have been eating fruit and veg to my heart's content, meat, fish, yoghurt and cheese.

I am feeling so much better all ready.

Making my kids' dinner this evening I noticed that quinoa is not a grain but a seed. Does this mean that it would be alright for me to have it?

Thanks for any advice.

My feeling is quinoa would probably not be considered "paleo" since, like most starchy foods, it has to be cooked to be edible. That said, it is one of the oldest human foods and is definatly far superior to modern wheat or corn in terms of nutritional value. You might want to try soaking it in water for 8 hours or so before cooking as this will help remove any antinutrients and make it easier to digest.
