Here is a link to a great cm recipe that just got posted. I will be trying it this next week (and adding mushrooms to it...).

Easy Chicken Paprika with Sour Cream Gravy

Love the author of this - Melissa Sevigny. I make her recipes whether on or off plan, that is how good my favorites by her are.

Fortunate to have a fellow church member who raises grassfed angus beef and sells them - got just a quarter side. Tried a ribeye last night -

Love, love, love having a freezer so I can stock up on turkey's on sale after Thanksgiving and buy in bulk, when we can afford to.

Hope all are having good start to 2018.

hello!
Back from my long visit with DD and the grandkids- and just got on the sale and I lost 2 lbs! I LOVE CALP!!!

Came home late last night and went to the market for food for today. Yesterday was a travel day- didn't really have real meals. Had a salad before flight at the airport then had some of the meal and shared a sandwich with DH that we had bought at the airport instead of the snack they served. I also had roasted nuts and drank 4 cans of club soda!
Today I can't face eggs (still in a not so good place with eggs) so I'm thinking coffee and greek yogurt. CM lunch will be a salad with a can of tuna. RM dinner will be chicken breast with eggplant parm and bread for my carb. DH will also add n pasta and fruit.
It's really cold here- and e missed record cold while we were gone- so I'm going to go to the gym and row for 30 minutes and lift weights for 10 minutes instead of walking.

Hope everyone is doing great. Thanks for the recipe Pat- it looks great.
later-

hi-
we're supposed to be going to a dinner meeting tonight but I think it will be cancelled because of the weather. I will have the leftover chicken breasts with spinach and salad with bread for carb. DH will add in pasta.

Welcome Back Eno

I know how that is when you reach the point when you can't face eggs anymore.
When i can't face eating them; i find having them in scrambled form the easiest to
take. When i can't face cooking them first thing in the morning, i found making those
mini-crust-less quiche cups in advance very helpful. They're just so convenient.
At least eggs are very versatile.

Great idea to go to the gym this weather;
I wanted to do this 'couch to 5K' walking/running program as part of this national program that runs here in Ireland this time of year but our weather is just not permitting and as a result i'm using it as an excuse to do nothing.
I just have to devise a plan of my own & make it as enjoyable as possible.

Patricia; i had a snoop in your journal. Your getting it DONE, fair play to you!

Looking forward to getting back on plan properly and consistently this year.
It's the right path.
Might take me a few weeks by the way things are going here but i'll be back!

hi-
snow ended, but very icy and frozen here. Staying home!
Making some beef hot dogs for CM lunch with cabbage, and I'm making extra so I can have it with an egg for breakfast too. That way I can change up the taste and make a hot dog and egg omelet.

Tonight having chicken. Defrosting soup too- I froze it but don't remember what it is! Funny.

hello!
Going out to dinner tonight with friends for a steak. I'm planning on a sirloin with green beans, salad, a glass of red wine and berries for carb.

I'm in the mood to make Chicken Paprikash- thinking I'll grab some fresh paprika and try it next week.

hi-
Saw my doctor on Monday and my weight was actually down two pounds from last year. YAY!!

the soup ended up being a lamb stew that I had made with leftover grilled lamb. DH LOVED it and finished it off. I made chicken sausage and eggplant and salad last night- had a piece of naan bread as my carb. DH had pasta, bread, fruit and a slice of chocolate cake.
Tonight we are going out with friends to celebrate his retirement.
Tomorrow I'd like to make that chicken paprikash!

hi-
finally made the chicken paprika- it was great and easy and LC!
I would change it a bit to use broth instead of water and add some hot paprika too, but it was great.
Even DH liked it. I made egg noodles for him and brussel sprouts for me. Carb was bread.
Going out tomorrow for dinner with friends. I'm planning on salmon and salad and ?

hi-
raining all day here, so I decided to make another comfort food- pot roast. Made it spicy with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Had mine with a big salad and sour kraut. DH had noodles. Carb was bread. It was delish- spicy and satisfying. I combined the rest with the chicken paprikash.
Tomorrow RM plan is to eat leftovers!!!
