Just keep in mind nuts are high calorie so you have upped your daily calories.

Why not try celery for the crunch factor. Or another other raw veggies, peppers, cauliflower there would give you a nice crunch.
No carrots on phase one.

Thumbs up Welcome aboard!

Welcome to South Beach! As a long-time dieter and long-time diet failure, I have been thrilled with the SB program! I just know you're going to do great. Keep up with us here -- there is so much help and support!
I love those almonds, too, so I don't blame you for going after them twice. I like the crunchy veggie idea. Celery especially seems to help me. You might try some low fat cheese in or with the celery to give it more oomph.
Good luck, Alicejoyce! I look forward to hearing more from you and "seeing less of you"!

Hi!
Thanks for the tips...I hope they work I think the cheese and celery combo might work since it's a salty factor for me too!

Also, please keep in mind that while we are allowed to have a nut or nut butter snack each day, that we are limited to one portion = 1 oz. So use it wisely.

We each end up finding new ways to have foods that we enjoy.

Please be sure to find the South Beach Babes thread as that is where you will find the Newest food lists and meal plan charts from the SBD web site....they are on page 41. These 2 tools are what showed me how to eat this way.

Good luck!
