Default Karen or anyone who knows

Propane gas range: the burner flame is it allowed to have a part blue and part yellow flame or only blue? Thanks!

According to my gas guy, the burner probably needs "tuning". I usually (wait until it's cold and) take the cap off and make sure the burner openings are clean and the underside of the cap is clean. I use a small brush and then a damp rag. If it's still a large-ish yellow portion on the flame, might be time for the checkup/maintenance call.

I am no expert, but...

The more blue in the flame, the hotter and cleaner it burns.

If you have doubts about safety, dont use the stove and call your local gas company.

Thanks, I just found out recently that the propane gas flame for the burner should be mostly blue with a small yellow tip!
