Default New low carber

I started the Atkins induction phase about a month ago and lost ten pounds in about two weeks. But since then I've been basically the same weight for two weeks. And have eaten almost zero carbs.
The only thing I may have done wrong is not drinking enough water. Could that be my problem?

Hi, Bob. Welcome to the forum and to a healthy new lifestyle.

I don't think you have a problem. Your results so far are pretty typical (if there's any such thing) for these reasons:

--You are already not far from your target weight, so you won't be dropping pounds (ie. Burning fat) at nearly the rate of a larger person.
--After that initial drop (water plus some fat) your body has a lot of adjusting to do. It isn't unusual for things to level off for a while.
--The aim of LC/Atkins is to convert your system from carb-burning to fat-burning. Again, this may take a few weeks of consistent LC adherence.

LC is all about learning a new way of eating for life. Take your time. Follow the plan. Don't panic.

Best wishes.

2.5 pounds per week on average? Doesn't sound like a problem to me! Congrats!

Bob, plateaus happen, and as Barbara points out, there is an adjustment period that regulates the pace of weight loss. Sounds like you're doing great!
