breaking a stall
Here's what my doctor had me do, and it worked for me:
1) realise that a 'stall' is actually your body in equilibrium - ie in maintenance mode. You are eating no more, no less than what your metabolism needs to maintain your body. So, well done in finding your maintenance level, however:
2) you need to shock your body into losing weight, so you need to change something.
eg - completely change your diet, same number of calories and carbs but totally different foods. Do that for a day or 2, then change back.
3) change up and down ( this worked for me) :
Day one: increase calories, stay v. low carb, different foods
Day two: decrease calories, stay v. low carb, different foods
But: the average calories over 2 days should be LESS than what you are eating now
And: whatever exercise you are doing daily now, double the effort.
Try that for 8 days, if you still havnt lost weight then you are probably eating way too much, so you need to get your metabolism assessed to determinhe your true set rate (ie the true number of calories your body needs to maintain itelf). After years of dieting, for many people that number drops way low.
Hope it helps .... !
