I'm up today. I've been on the run all weekend and did nothing but eat out. I worked part of yesterday and then we had to leave our house by 2P for the Christmas party since it takes 90 minutes to get there. Got home at midnight and got back up early this morning and went out of town shopping. Just got home a little bit ago and I'm bloated, worn out and my feet are killing me.

Kathy and Jodi: You guys are doing great. It amazes me how fast and well you do when you are totally on plan. You sound like my son with your work schedule. He has two jobs and both of them rely on him to pick up extra shifts as he's usually willing to do them. If he isn't working a 16 at one job, he goes from one to the other. They are 25 miles apart so at least there's an hour between the end of one and the start of the other.

Paulette: Glad you are down again today. The pitted legs aren't fun. The only med I've needed the past few years was HCTZ for fluid retention. With sitting all day and after an unexplained, non-itchy bright red rash on my legs after walking the FL theme parks, I couldn't get rid of the fluid. (I've only had the rash and red, swollen legs twice and it happened several years apart, both times being in FL after walking all day at the parks. I blamed it on the cleaning chemicals in the pavement radiating from the 90 degree heat and sun.) The HCTZ really helps and I just take a low dose. However, I still have periodic fluid retention. But, since eating LC, I have noticed that the fluid issue is so much better. In fact, when I saw the doctor in October he commented that there was no extra fluid and he could actually feel the tendons in my ankles.

Cricket: Congrats on you loss today and thanks for sharing the information on resistance to losing. I really need to get my book back out or download it to my kindle. There is so much information there and the longer you do this, the more you relearn and understand it when you re-read it.

I agree with you about the PT. If you can do your normal manual work without the pain, I would stick with that. Most people who go to PT don't do anything else and they need that structure to "make them do it". (Me!!!!) You are used to "hard work" and physical labor with your farm and animal care. You always have the PT to fall back on if you need it.

Himi: Sorry for the gain this week, but you know your pattern. Bacon is the only food that causes me major gain due to fluid retention. However, even though I know that, I can't give it up. It's like my "treat".

Chrissie: You still had a little loss this week. Glad you enjoyed the show!

Tam: Hope everything is going okay with your aunt and you weight! You still did great this week with getting back from vacation and the stress of being sick along with you family issues.

BARB.. that is a lot of walking and HCTZ is the gold standard.Rarely do i see LASIX.too depleating. It sure sounds like there is something that is upsetting off allergies in theme parks! Hope you get some relaxation now.

I often re read the books.. I have a few he wrote.. the 72,92, atkins for life...it is good to sort through them.

Heading to bed and hope i can actually sleep!
See everyone on the NEW THREAD NOW

Hi Everyone,

I am in Virginia indefinitely, or until I can get my Aunt's legal, medical, and financial problems taken care. Got up here Sunday afternoon, and had to call the sheriff first thing. My Aunt's granddaughter and her con artist husband, had left their car, which is being repossessed, at my Aunt's to hide it. I tried to get it settled without involving the police, but they refused to come and get it. Her husband said it was none of my damn business, and I couldn't do shit about it...well of course I could, I let my finger's do the walking. They became ultra cooperative, except for the last parting shot he said to me, once the sheriff was there. I hope what I said got through to my cousin, but she is only 21, married this guy,( who is my age), three years ago, and is completely under his control. It is just a damn mess. I have stayed on plan, and a have had a couple of nice drops, so there is that. My Aunt also said she has slept the best she has in years, since I have been here, So there are good things happening too. Going to my and my boy's high school tonight to watch 3 basketball games, it will be great to see our old friends. Just wish my hubby was here. Hope everyone is doing well. I just haven't been able to get on as much as I would like, too much going on.
