Default Dropped the lbs and added a ton of confidence!

So lets start from the beginning. At the end of middle school and beginning of high school I was very unsatisfied with how I looked. So unsatisfied in fact that I began exercising an insane amount and eating very little. I was anorexic. I was about 5'6" 100lbs for about 3 years. The lowest I got was 95 lbs. It was a scary time. I eventually got through it but the emotional scars I will always carry with me. As I started to become a woman (about age 16-17) I started to get very curvy and that was a little hard for me to handle. When I hit college I went wild and gained about 15 lbs. I was unhappy and ready to make a change so I decided to try the South Beach Diet. My parents opted to start on the diet with me as my sister was on Atkins and was having a lot of success. I will admit it the first two weeks were hell. Luckily I started during the summer so I was able to stick to it a little easier at home with the help of my family. My starting weight was 165 lbs and I am now at my goal weight of 130. I live in an apartment with 3 other girls who are not into healthy eating at all. I'm in college and 20 years old and the drinking scene is huge. I don't abstain from alcohol but I just choose to drink the LC options like rum and diet coke. I have taken a lot of crap from all my friends for how I have been eating but no one can deny the beautiful change I have gone through. People will try to tempt you and get you to stray but look deep within yourself and find the strength to persevere because in the end it is all worth it! I am living proof that this way of life works and that even severe chocoholics can get through it.

Congratulations on finding some peace with food. I'm a recovering chocoholic, too!
