Hi Barb.... ALL stress weight is all. And flux...no worries!
OK.. got the book today. It says everything we all know on the team to be true right down to the dreded Sugar alcohols. Was nice to see that all we know to be true is still true.
There are of course differences. One is the fiber deal, and that is enocuraged for GI health but not making you have the huge amount of veggies that the 12-15 out of the 20 carbs is on the newer plans. So, fiber is in adding nada to the intake.. it DOES say that the fiber DOES turn into fats but htey are the GOOD fats so have them.. ok.. we will see. Not counting them in or out for now. LOW carbs as you can get is wnated. no more than 30 including fiber! So we can do that standing on our heads ... the big difference is, and I will say that it makes perfect sense to me.. considers the stalls and slow downs we all see as being hormonal driven etc. For the first 9 days, it is our plan as we do it. Then on the 9th day, beginning in the late afternoon/ evening.. it is time to go high carbs for 8 hours..until bedtime or midnight snack. GOOD carbs not junk. Banana, fruit, potatoes, POPCORN.. corn etc... the theory is that we cannot store fat in that period of time. It will pass without harm.Its purpose is to do that spike of carbs to create a hormone spike yaydaydada.. and get the boost to our metabolism that drops off. We have all seen the sluggish stuff hit us and have our times of no losses and slight gains... well, according to this that will stop.. oh, there WILL be a gain.. but not lasting... So far, I will try it 100% for a good month. Tomorrow is day one and carb nite is on Thursday. Then it is 7 days on and every Thursday off. We will see. They still endorse the good healthy foods and not the sugar packed garbage of high corn fructose etc.
