Default Help for Lyme disease?

I'm looking to help a friend who has recentlly been diagnosed with Lyme disease, she also has adrenal fatigue and a pituitary tumor. I've been telling her to drop the wheat. Anyone out there in this knowledgable group of folks know of any studies relating to diet and Lyme disease?

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection. She needs to be treated with antibiotics. How long and what kind of abx depends on how long she has been infected.

There are alternative therapies but none that seem remotely as successful as antibiotics and nothing to do with diet.

I hope she hasnt had it for long, it is far easier to treat in its acute stage vs. the fulminating long term infection. Either way it is just miserable.
As for the adrenal fatigue and pituitary tumor...I agree getting off of wheat will probably help. All the metabolic hormones work in concert with one another, throw off one (insulin) you are bound to throw off others.

Thanks Karen. Yes, she is on heavy antibiotics and it is unfortunately in the hard to treat phase. I suppose the better her diet the better she can fight it.

If nothing else quitting wheat will ease the burden on her gut that is already stressed by the abx assuming she is taking oral and not IV.

If nothing else try and convince her to take probiotics.
