You look great Frannie. Congratulations. Now you're in maintenance. You know, I don't know how maintenance is like on Atkins, but if you want to eat carbs again without gaining, the CAD diet is very good. If you want, I could tell you about it. You will probably not believe me, but you can eat whatever you want for one hour a day. This includes carbs. You can have pizza, hotdogs, whatever. The rest of the day, though, you have to eat low carb. This works for me, maybe it will for you, too. Bye. Amy

Hey there,
what I meant was that I kept my carbs at a high enough amount during pregnancy to not be in ketosis, but still pretty low.
I am trying to lose more weight now and so far no luck...guess the body is still screwy after having the baby, but eating habits are getting better every day. I considered maintenance and actually have been maintaining this weight now for about 2 months, but in the past few weeks have really kicked it up a notch to try and get some of the fat moving

wonderful and inspiring story frannie. so glad you made it to where you are today. as someone who was bullied and teased for being overweight when a teenager and i was only about 185lbs, i can't imagine (or rather, i can, and shudder) what it was like at over 300lbs. how wonderful that you found someone who loved you anyway, and are still with him now - and a baby as well! congratulations for it all. and i agree with a poster above; you don't look like you're over 200lbs at all.

Oh my gosh, you are TINY. I hope I look that good when I hit 209 (in a few weeks). I have to admit I looked at your after picture because I wanted to see what 209 would look like (I am 5'5") and I am shocked at how small you look - and completely beautiful.

Congratulations!

Janine

I have you beat - I was called names and teased relentlessly at 152 pounds which at that time was actually just over the high end of normal for my height (150). It was relentless.

How's life been since you lost weight?
Have all the changes been positive?
Other than congratulating you, in the long term or after the initial shock, how have ppl reacted to your transformation?
Have your friendships remained the same?
