Default the fat fast?

I'm not sure I understand the deal of the fat fast- I mean, I know WHY people do it- I am thinking I'd like to try it- but here's my question...
Is it more just an increase in fats or should it be a decrease in protein or just a decrease in veggies? I tried using fitday for awhile but really cant find the time to get it all in there each day, so i need examples.
Can anyone explain what a typical day should be like on a fat fast?
Thanks!
