Default Adjust dosage after weight loss?

Has anyone found that your dosage of Synthroid, or whichever medicine you're on, needed to be adjusted as a result of weight loss?

Has the addition of exercise caused any adjustments, as well?

Thanks!

I think this could probably happen but I haven't had to adjust down. Do you know the symptoms of hyperthyroid just in case?

I've heard that exercise can actually increase your thyroid needs.

Thanks, Nancy!

I've been researching hyperthyroid, just in case, like you mentioned. I'll look for info about the exercise. I was surprised to read that!

My mom had to adjust her thyroid dosage after losing 80 lbs a few years ago. It took her a while to realize what was going on. It was a good heads up for me -- so I watch for it as a result with my weight loss. She takes Synthroid...I take Armour - but it could happen.
