Hi!

First of all, big congrats to you on your success!! I hope that you'll share what you found in SBD that helped you to achieve your goal.

As fro your question.....I looked up soy crisps online and we can look at the ingredients together.

Quote:
10g Pure Non-GMO Soy Protein
More Soy Protein Than Tofu or Soy Milk
3g Dietary Fiber
25mg Soy Isoflavines
Only 70 Calories per Serving
Wheat & Gluten Free

(Benefits Based on 1.3 oz. Size Bag)

Nutritional Information

Serving Size:
18g
Calories:
70
Total Fat:
1g
Saturated Fat:
0g
Carbohydrates:
9g
Protein:
5g
Sodium:
170mg
Fiber:
1.5g
Sugars:
1g
Ingredients
Low fat non-GMO soy flour, rice, mid oleic sunflower oil, sea salt.

Based on the rice as the 2nd ingredient, I'd call this soy crisps a grain serving, eventhough there are 5 grams of protein. Also, there are 9 grams of carbs per serving. Do you see where I made my decision from?

Thanks Judy!

Thats what I figured. Im to the point now where I can pretty much eat what I want. However, I have inspired several of my friends to change to the South Beach lifestyle. I want to make sure I am giving them the right infomation so that they can be successful too.

Thanks again!!

Great!! I do the same as you with people in my life. I am so happy eating this way that I want others to try it too. But we each have to learn how to make educated choices and sometimes it can get confusing. Thats why I read the ingredients on every new food that I try so that I can determine where it actually falls on the food group scale.

I can sure see a beginner saying that soy crisps are a protein because thats what the front of the bag says. Reading the ingredients reveals a totally different picture!!
