It's your decision, Whited. A low cost solution is what some people do for snoring; add a pocket to the back of their pajamas or something, which can hold an object which reminds you to sleep on your side. Many people use a golf ball or a walnut; it can be anything.
If you sleep well on your side, just make sure you do that and PROBLEM SOLVED.
I once had a doctor insistent on a $5k sleep study (and the 20% I'd be on the hook for is still much too much for me to handle) to get to the bottom of my insomnia and I was all, "Hey, I came to you because I'm sick, let's figure out what I am sick and the sleep will take care of itself." But he wouldn't listen. And I figured out why I was sick and now sleep is really really good.
When all doctors have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
