The question isn't the source, but whether the source can back up their claims. At any rate, even if the linear correlation of dietary fat and heart disease was come by honestly, the fact that such a clean correlation never showed up again (if it did, there's a good chance we wouldn't be having this discussion) should probably give people pause. Maybe I'm wrong and it has, but I've never seen anybody respond to this discussion with similar findings. It's not like there hasn't been enough epidemiology done.

One step forward, three steps back. We are still left to our own conclusions until some respected cardiology expert can conclusively and courageously speak candidly and can demonstrate an irrefutable study. Kahn has a very obvious agenda. The fog continues to roll in . . .

And we won't get an irrefutable study until someone does one. And that is very difficult to get past grant committees and such.

As is always pointed out in studies, and especially since this is observational, I am sure the 'carbohydrates' are heavy on the grains and potatoes. Maybe beans. I doubt CVD is driven up by vegetables and fruits. Until they separate out types of carbohydrates (starches, and otherwise) it is meaningless.
